But I think we have overlooked an area of the newspaper that would translate perfectly online: Classifieds. A gopher-style menu structure could be set up for the want-ads and emplyment sections immediately, and indeed, that is being done with emplyment (gopher to gopher.msen.com and select on-line career center), and I'm sure via usenet for want-ads. Take, for example, searching for a car. You could select the geographic area to search in, and specify not only make, model, and year, but also price, color, milage, condition, # of doors, amenities, safety features, and anything else.
